Value/Quality of a guitarkit guitar?

I'm thinking of getting an electric guitar-kit.. one where you get all the parts and you assemble it..
I want to make something custom, that would hopefully sound good..
I'm just wondering what the quality would be.. compared to just buying a 70 - 100€ guitar and customizing, instead of the kit (I'm interested in) that costs 200€..
I'd say that in most instances, assembling something yourself is cheaper..
But the guitar-kits costs a lot compared to finished and assembled guitars..

200€ for a guitar is NOT a lot. It's just that the 70-100€ guitars are just flat out terrible.

It's not that 200€ is a lot for a guitar, but compared to a 70 - 100€ guitar, I'd say it is..
Especially since it isn't assembled, painted, stringed, tested etc..
Like a LA-2A would cost 300 - 400€ if you bought the parts and assembled it yourself..
Not the best example.. but still..
Don't know if a 200€ kit would equal a 400 - 600€ guitar, when finished.. of course, it depends on how the end result is..
And 400 - 600€ could get you a nice guitar.. especially used.. I guess it's after 1000€ when it's more a matter of taste..
