We need more rebellion against the church. In 2006 more than every we as people don't speak up and let others fuck us and it's not fair. People just except how the world is and if we join together we can atleast show people not everyone is contempt in this shithole regardless if the impact could never really change anything in the world. Someone needs to do something about taxes also because it's ridiculous. Churches for example get excluded from Taxes and rich also raise taxes for everyone else and they will never have any problems paying them but others will. More churches should be taken down to prove a point and keep holy figures in their homes rather than taking land.

why dont you do it yourself

A church is not a symbol of christianity. If someone burns down a church, people won't see it as a part of a fight against organized religion. It's just some random retard who ruins a building of great historical and cultural value. Most churches are many centuries old and leave traces of the people who built the church aswell as those who used it for several centuries. A building is something that has the ability to survive for millenia. A human life does not have this ability and is therefore of much lesser value from a historical perspective. Considering how secularized Scandinavia is, burning a church in Norway won't make any difference to the society whatsoever. People in general do not believe in God, so you would not be attacking the faith of the public or any such thing. You would just destroy the work of your ancestors. Their wishes to create something that would reflect upon their existence long after their passings would be destroyed, the contemporal understanding of our ancestors diminished, and our descendants' ambitions to learn more about our and our ancestors culture made impossible.

If you consider burning down a church an achievment, I definately would not want to live in your community. Burning down a construction standing for something you oppose is an act of weakness and desperation. Try building something greater yourself instead. If you do not have the means or the power, you do not have the right to raze the accomplishments of those who actually possess the ability to achieve.

He should rot in there for life.

No. He should serve his sentence and be released, a free man. Keeping him longer than the sentence allows would be pretty much advocating facism.

Right, because the state religion of Norway isn't the Evangelical Lutheran church, and 89 percent of Norway's population isn't a member of that church.

The majority were pagan temples before the Christians took them over. So they were basically shooting themselves in the foot on that one.

Bard Eithun and John Nodtveidt (unless you count musical output) didn't commit any crimes when they were released.

Yeah, relase him so he can commit more crimes.

He seems intelligent enough where he would learn from his mistakes never comitting another crime. He does not fit the description of someone who's crime is so much appart of their live they thrive on the act regardless how many times being put away. It's not like he's a rapist that gets out of jail killing or rapping again because it's these peoples lives and is what they do. I can't see varg killing again or becoming the next serial killer. Varg is older now so maybe his point of view is less juvenile. He's in his 30 i'm guessing and when he commited crime he was a young adult barely an adult.

Did the blatant sarcasm soar right over your head?

:erk:x6 million.

if you think burning down churches is a good thing, you are a blatant fucking idiot. the amount of charity/social service work churches do is phenomenal. religion is often a crucial part of peoples lives when they dont have much else (aesthetically or whatever it may be) and also, it is a place of reform for a lot of people who would otherwise be a complete burden on society (e.g. idiots who burn down churches).

also churches are not tax havens for the rich, you idiot. i would be naieve to think all churches are clean of cheating tax, but the vast majority would be honest, more so on average than the rest of society.

charity through organised religion has been proven to have a much higher rate of effective donation than any of the other charitable institutions you probably dont support (i assume you are tight and selfish, as well as being stupid). e.g. world vision - less than 70 cents in every dollar you donate, actually goes to the people it is intended to benefit. the st. vincent de paul society or the salvation army see more than 90 cents in the dollar going directly to the cause.

Then why exactly did he attempt to escape to Chechenya(sp) or wherever the fuck with among other things a G3A3 assault rifle or more (don't remember exactly how many weapons he had) when he was on vacation (yes, we have that in Norway) from the prison? Varg needs to rot in jail, he is a danger to everything and everyone around him.

What I think is hilarious is that Jon Nodtveidt claimed in an interview that Reinkaos was meant to be Dissection's most "evil" album to date and was supposed to convey a satanic message.

Not really.

okay

What? So George Washington's house is more important historically, because it's still here and he's not? You must not have thought this one out.
Considering how secularized Scandinavia is, burning a church in Norway won't make any difference to the society whatsoever. People in general do not believe in God, so you would not be attacking the faith of the public or any such thing.
You've already been refuted on this one.
You would just destroy the work of your ancestors. Their wishes to create something that would reflect upon their existence long after their passings would be destroyed, the contemporal understanding of our ancestors diminished, and our descendants' ambitions to learn more about our and our ancestors culture made impossible.
I sincerely doubt that that was the purpose of those Churches, and I doubt that their destruction had that effect.

If you consider burning down a church an achievment, I definately would not want to live in your community. Burning down a construction standing for something you oppose is an act of weakness and desperation.
Or maybe it's an act of teenage rebellion. Look at what other members of the scene have said about the events.
Try building something greater yourself instead. If you do not have the means or the power, you do not have the right to raze the accomplishments of those who actually possess the ability to achieve.
This is analogous to that shitty argument that people who can't play music shouldn't be critical of it.

I agree with everything you said.Churches are historical monuments, and if you think burning down churches is "kvlt" or whatever the fuck, you need to stop listening to black metal and start using your fucking brain.
