In case you hadnt guessed it from the name, this compilation features some of the most extreme music around - thirty-nine tracks of it to be precise. The majority fall within the death/grind/crust categories of extremity - all bands were featured at the Obscene Extreme festival in Czechoslovakia in 2002, and all are unforgiving and harsh throughout. Among some of the bigger names such as Gorerotted and Cock And Ball Torture are a host of lesser known bands, which this release serves as a good introduction to, especially if you are looking for slightly more offensive underground music. A hefty booklet features contact details and information on all the bands, and makes "Obscene Extreme 2002" even more useful if you want to delve further. Full track-listings are as follows:
