Hey not sure if its been asked but what tuning does the band use? And another question the band seems to post alot is it just one member or do they all post?
dont ya mean f#?FuckYouIWantToDie said:b,e,a,d,g#,b...that is the tuning we have been using since we started. And John, Nate, and I (Bjorn) are regular visitors on this board. Welcome![]()
you could be right. There are baritone guitars, but we use standard guitars and we have them set up so they can operate properly at this low of tuning.GoofPig said:for real?
i thought baritone was BEADf#B lol
im an australian and my IQ is only 123 lol sorry everyone
Set up's are a bit better for lower tunings. Just the action mainly....The lower the string goes, the easier the string hits the neck when playing open...it lets loose annoying, almost like pick stratch type noises everytime you play. It makes the playing really really dirty sounding and uncomfortable especially if you're trying to play as tight as possible....Leper_/-\ffinity said:What do you mean "setup" to work properly at this tuning??? Higher string gauge, more neck relief, what else do you mean by setup??? Haven't heard of anyone doing anything too special to their guitars to make them work better with lower tunings, but maybe Im just a nOoOb who always plays in E.
Oh hey Goofpig....About those tabs....GoofPig said:hahah well i tune to BEADF#B
its the same as At The Gates and Soilwork so i figured that was B tuning

K....I mentioned before that I tune a half step lower, but all the notes could be moved up a fret to match the natural Vehemence tuning. Ummm....I'm not so sure it will work now, because Bjorn mentioned that they tune standard, just real low....
K.....As I mentioned above...I normally tuned to E flat and did so for years. Now imagine a 7-STRING guitar with an extra low B flat string, but everything else is exactly the same in standard E flat tunings.....So basically you're looking at "B, E, A, D, G, B#, E" .....O.K.....pretend the bottom high E string didn't exist, and put that exact set up on a regular 6 string guitar and that is what I tune to, which isn't exactly standard....
