VEHEMENCE NEWS

SEPTEMBER 10, 2005 -VEHEMENCE ANNOUNCE NEW VOCALIST

Vehemence will no longer be working with vocalist Sean Vandegrift. We wish him the best of luck. We now would like to take this time to announce Adam Cody as his replacement. Adam Cody, as some of you may know is also vocalist in Glass Casket (Abacus/Century Media).

He filled in on vocals for us during our spring tour with The Red Death and Crematorium, and did an excellent job. He is already working on lyrics and demoing some of our new material. We are glad to be getting back into gear, and expect a very busy 2006. On another note, we will be remixing/remastering our first full length cd, The Thoughts From Which I Hide during the month of September. The CD will contain new packaging, and will be made available only at our shows, and on our website www.vehemence.com. Also, congratulations to our bassist Mark Kozuback for scoring an endorsement deal with Madison Amps. www.madisonspeakers.com. We'll see you all out there soon!

Didn't get to catch Adam on tour with you guys, but I was lovin Bryan on guest vocals, so I'm sure you made a good decision.

Party on Wayne!

Glass Casket definitly fucking rocks, and the band was signed to Abacus Records, when they were all younger then 19 years old. They definitly had their shit together, and seeing how their drummer and guitarist have been dabbling in other projects, (Between the Buried and Me, I believe), he is ready to fuckin rock out. He has an awesome vocal style, which isn't totally throaty, like Nathan, but then again, Vehemence said that they weren't lookin for a clone.
So Best of luck to Vehemence and to Adam Cody.

well we can't be won over by everybody. I just hope you all make your judgements AFTER our cd comes out. Tattooedsean, yes that was Adam at the metalfest and I will admit that was a rough show for us. The first time Adam jammed with us was the same day as that fest. He stumbled on a lot of the parts, but you have to cut him some slack for that performance. He was stepping into some unfamiliar territory. By the time we were on tour, and playing those songs regularly, he definitely became more comfortable.

Cool dudes!

Do you think we could get a little sneak peak or something? We drool for more Vehemence music. Host that demo or maybe post a sample?

Yeah Adam is a very easy guy to get along with, very laidback guy, he has good stage presence, all of it comes out on stage basically. Reviewing everyone available in the past and present that have wanted to vocals for us, I felt we made a right choice by getting Adam. Sean had other things going on in his life that happened suddenly after he agreed to do vocals for us. 6 months past and nothing was different from when Nathan left the band in Nov 2004. He would have been an awesome vocalist but life is life ya know. We are still friends, and that is that. So yeah no issues here.

i hope this guy's vocals and lyrics don't drag Vehemence into complete mediocrity. i mean, come on, Glass Casket is a horrible, shitty, and generic CORE band.

Do the forum and moderator a big favor and stop wasting your time in our forum and move on. No one really tolerates that kind of idiotic behavior, your posts will be erased if you continue to just bash our band. Go to a different kind of forum for that, just not the band one, this place is for people with new positive interest, friends, and fans ONLY. Don't talk to me about the band Death man, you have no clue.

I like they are a pretty awesome metal band. They remind me of Aborted from Germany in some ways along with some other death metal types. I am a listener of all kinds of metal styles, so it's not like I dont know what I am talking about. Why would we let our band become part of some kinda of trend, we are not going to let our band become some kinda of mediocore band, have we before?, I think not.

On another note, Adam will be getting a MySpace account soon, let alone a computer, and will also be posting in this forum to meet all of you guys. He’s going to be new to the computer world so we will all help him out a bit. The GC album, through out the record from what we heard from Adam he said it was about some very personal stuff that went on in his life only, I think our Vehemence album wont have the personal lyrics style but will be similar to Helping The World To See, and move on to some more issues. Ill keep you folks updated.

Best of luck to you guys...keep in the melodies! That's what differentiates you guys from other death metal bands. I say throw in a cover of Frank Zappa's "who are the brain police?" to piss off elitistbuttocks.

I've only heard a few GC songs, but liked what I heard. Nice, complex metal. Good stuff. Don't remember the vocals to be honest, but that means they didn't grate on me either. I'm sure he's gonna fit the new Vehemence stuff just fine, but I'll reserve judgement till the new album comes out. Speaking of which, how's it coming along? Still in the writing mode?

Also, Frank Zappa rules, lol, he was an amazing musician, guitarist, composer, and so on. I love Hot Rats lol. Great guitarwork on that album.
