Webmaster (John Chavez): I am going to sum up why VEHEMENCE.BRUTALDEATH.NET is down.
This is smiliar to what Aaron webmaster of return to the pit said.
short: brutaldeath.net went down due to inter-company issues at hosting companies
long:
Problems with http://vehemence.brutaldeath.net and it's sub domains began back in Nov with a bit of down time. Then the site came back after 36 hours. Things ran smoothly until Spring time where issues was Vehemence's hosting company www.featureprice.com started having MAJOR issues:
The company laid off everyone (http://thewhir.com/marketwatch/fea050903.cfm )
employees where told to take equipment home
ABC/NBC tried to do investigative reports ( http://www.feature-price.info/ABC7-517.htm ) during metalfest, vehemence website was dog slow, but then www.featureprice.com was bought by www.atlantic.net. ( http://www.wunh.org/rttp/atlantic.net.leter.txt )
Things were great for a while until July 1st at 10am where service was cut.
A release from atlantic.net about the "situation" ( http://www.wunh.org/mp3/atlantic.htm )
oddly, www.featureprice.com had this ( http://www.wunh.org/mp3/featureprice.htm ).
present: I am working on it.
short: The Vehemence website is down for now.
No worries: I have also backed up everything that was currently on the website since July1st.
short: Ill be looking for a new server, but it will be more expensive
long: The Vehemence website fortunantly doesnt take up a whloe lot of space but it comes pretty close.
brutaldeath.net is currently looking for a dedicated hosting company to place the site on. Oh yes the brutaldeath.net emails all work still, since that is under the domain name company not the server host company.
Higher server costs (x3 from $26 to $100 or $1200 per year) I do plan to have more video's on the website in the future. Doubt id be paying anymore than $150 per year for this website out of my own pocket. Im thinking of merging with Hosting Direct.
Give me about a week or less than a week to get things up and running again.
