Hey mates! I´m just astonish by the vocal work in both albums, especially in clean parts, how many melodic tracks are??? Any clue of the mics used, fx and stuff?? It sounds fuckin epic! Very similar to Soilwork´s Stabbing the drama...
Of course I assume that both singers have done a great work.

i would assume sm7 was used. probably lots of layers of vocals on both cleans and screams ( you can really tell the low growls have been layered ) Nothing special about the sound really, just a good singer, lots of tight performances layered, nice preamp/mic and a hefty amount of outboard compression and eq. Actually that is kinda special hahaha

SM7 maybe for growls, but IMO those clean parts sound way too detailed and clear to not be a condenser, especially on Symmetric in Design (that clean break at 2:01 in "Dominion", I dunno, something about the way his voice just soars so clearly over the music without feeling too loud or on top of the mix just amazes me, that's really the highlight of their vocal production IMO). And Acappa, for Symmetric-Holographic, they had one singer who did cleans and growls (the two new ones came after he left  )

I was actually going to say that (about the two mics for cln, screaming) I think it was a u87 or something. the vocals were obviously tuned with melodyne to make them that tight, and compressed with a nice comp to give it that nice silky characteristic.
