whats your favorite bands? albums? other thoughts?

my favorite of all time is Blasphemy, Fallen Angel Of Doom is such a great record. I also checked out Morbisodad, their production is a little cleaner but they still have that raw sound.

Awesome idea for a thread.

Abused Majesty will always be a favourite for me.

Not much debate here. Sarcofago's INRI, Blasphemy's Fallen Angel of Doom and Beherit's Oath of Black Blood are definetely the best, but among their clones Morbosidad wins for me because of its aesthetics. It's clean, vocalists seem possessed and the intelligible spanish lyrics work wonders.

replace Oath with Drawing Down The Moon and I'd agree.

Drawing Down the Moon isn't really "war metal" though imo, as the bestial death/black sections are pretty scarce in comparison to the dark ambiance and the brooding "doomy" sections. Don't get me wrong though, it's the best Beherit album and probably the 3rd-4th best BM album ever.

Like others, I find Morbosidad and Blasphemophagher to be the best bands playing this style now (though the trend is a tad bit annoying). I also really liked the newest Disforterror EP.

Doubtful. Order From Chaos represent a different chapter in this style. They're not quite "bestial"...they're calculated and strategic.
