" +++Warmen - new album "Band of Brothers" on August 15th +++
Following their acclaimed comeback Here For None (2023), WARMEN are ready to turn the page: On August 15th, 2025, the band will release Band Of Brothers – their most powerful and cohesive album to date – via Reaper Entertainment.
In 2025, WARMEN present themselves heavier, tighter, and more determined than ever before. The new record combines brutal heaviness, anthemic melodies, and cinematic atmosphere – cementing the band’s evolution from a side project to a fully-fledged force in melodic death metal. "We really wrote this album together," says band founder Janne “Warman” Wirman. "It feels like a real band – a true band of brothers."
Band Of Brothers was recorded at various locations across Finland and refined by Mikko Karmila (mix) and Mika Jussila (mastering) at the legendary Finnvox Studios. Frontman Petri Lindroos (Ensiferum) delivers aggressive vocals and distinctive guitar solos, adding new energy and helping to define the band's modern sound.
The first single, the title track “Band Of Brothers,” will play a central role in the band’s 2025 live set. Following the album release, WARMEN will embark on an extensive touring schedule across Europe, including debut shows in Hungary and Switzerland, as well as a major headlining tour in Finland.
The official album launch will kick off with a special release show at Summer Breeze Open Air on August 15th.

The tracklist for Band Of Brothers reads as follows:
Band of Brothers
One More Year
Nine Lives
When Doves Cry Blood
Out for Blood
Kingdom of Rust
March or Die
Untouched
Coup de Grâce
Dethroned
The Kiss of Judas (Stratovarius Cover)
The cover artwork was once again created by Aleh Zieliankievic, who also worked on Here For None. "

I find it interesting they specificly mention Petri as delivering "distinctive guitar solos" here, as I always assumed Antti was more the "lead" guitarist (Of course Petri does play solos in Ensiferum and used to do so in Norther as well so it's not like he can't do it).

Yup. Guitar tone is also very close to IWC. I probably like this second single more than the first one, but neither one is as good as the stuff on the previous album IMO.

I agree, the previous album was better for me too (based on these songs).

I think the sound mix ist way too bass heavy. Everything Sounds so mudded. On the verses and choruses it sounds just like some big noise with riffs and vocals plus gang shouts at the same time covered in this mudded sound. Which unfortunately results in every Song sounding kinda the same. Some solos are nice but the songs in general dont stick in my head.

Kinda similar thoughts. Not a huge fan of the sound, and the songs aren't as good as on the last album either. Apart from a couple "This reminds me of IWC, this of Angel of Death, this of Scream for Silence" etc. parts, nothing really stuck in my mind. I hope they go for a more melodic style on the next one, and maybe change the guitar tone (I hate the guitar tone on IWC, and both this and the previous album have a tone very similar to it :D ). Maybe tone down slightly on the "wall of sound" style production as well.

Yeah I listened to the new Album and directly after that to the first Album. The first one is more enjoyable. The Sound is a little bit "clearer" and there are more/longer Melodic parts.
