I'm looking for some good software, either free or relatively inexpensive, that I can use to compile mastered audio and sequence it for manufacturing...Mac OSX. Emagic's WaveBurner is the only one that I've heard of, but for some reason I can't even find it for purchase on the internet. I found an article about Apple acquiring Emagic back in 2002, so did Apple basically just eliminate WaveBurner? Anyway...thanks in advance.

As far as i'm aware, it's now integrated into Logic....

i´ve been using LiquidCD on OS X but it´s for casual Cd and Dvd burning, so it doesn´t help you. Nvertheless it´s free and works fine.

I was sorry to find out that when I uninstalled Logic Pro, I uninstalled WaveBurner with it . I've not since found a program as good, but I'll admit I haven't looked very hard.

Its not so much a aprt of logic as another app that comes with logic.

Upon some further searching, Bias Peak Pro seems to be a nice replacement.

Of course, but I want something that actually lets me specify exactly when tracks will begin and end, if two tracks will flow seemlessly together without a pause in the audio, if there will be a user-defined length negative count between tracks, etc.

you can just make a .cue file and burn that and itll be seamless

Some programs will create a .cue file as the whole PCM disc image, too. But I think this freeware program will work for you. Its pretty much just a front end for the built in burning tools of BSD and OS X.

There is also Firestarter FX, which may not be free.

i use BIAS Peak Pro to compile all my masters and burn the red book cds
