I'm looking for some good software, either free or relatively inexpensive, that I can use to compile mastered audio and sequence it for manufacturing...Mac OSX. Emagic's WaveBurner is the only one that I've heard of, but for some reason I can't even find it for purchase on the internet. I found an article about Apple acquiring Emagic back in 2002, so did Apple basically just eliminate WaveBurner? Anyway...thanks in advance.

i´ve been using LiquidCD on OS X but it´s for casual Cd and Dvd burning, so it doesn´t help you. Nvertheless it´s free and works fine.

Please post in the right section :)

Is the "Equipment (gear, DAW and plugins questions and comments)" thread not the right place to discuss software?

whats the point of it? cant you just make one long wav file in your sequencer?

Of course, but I want something that actually lets me specify exactly when tracks will begin and end, if two tracks will flow seemlessly together without a pause in the audio, if there will be a user-defined length negative count between tracks, etc.

whcih prog do I need on OSX to burn .cue and wave as an image?
Is there any freeware for mac?
sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm just exploring OS X

Some programs will create a .cue file as the whole PCM disc image, too. But I think this freeware program will work for you. Its pretty much just a front end for the built in burning tools of BSD and OS X.

There is also Firestarter FX, which may not be free.
