Waves sale, today only!

How is CLA drums? Is it a really good stuff to mix drums or just another stuff to make quick-good-sounding demos?

woah thanks man! I picked up bass rider. Can't wait to try it.

also totally forgot I had renaissance bass from when they gave it out for free last year when I logged on to my waves account.

I have bass rider and vocal rider.

Bass rider is ok. Melda MAutoVolume is much better. Bass rider falls apart with quick notes on the high D and G string. MAutoVolume is solid under all conditions.

*sigh* I was rushing around yesterday and had practice. Got home and totally forgot all about this. Missed my chance......bass rider now is $200. FUCK. ME.

Don't worry guys, Waves have weekend deals every week and it's just two months to black friday anyway.

@Heabow
CLA Drums is quite good actually. The coolness of the CLA pack for me is mostly in limiting my ability to tweak a thousand parameters. I have done a similar thing myself setting my chain for a certain track in a project template and assigning a few parameters that I am likely to change to graphical knobs in Reaper.

By the way you can demo the plugin and check out EQ curves and compressor times yourself putting some noise or pulses on the input and analyzing the output.

Thanks man. Yes I'll demo it but as it was at $29 only I felt curious but finally did not buy it. While some stuff like that are really cool, I don't like that much this kind of all-in-one plugin.

My experience with bass rider is it can't cope with open string to octave note intervals on the same string. Maybe I'm setting it up wrong but I've never got it to work properly on a couple of tracks I've written myself. It works for a lot of things, but I do find myself eventually automating certain parts by ear on headphones.

I might check out that Melda program if it works better.

I ended up snagging bass rider. Has anyone tried it on vocals? I wonder if there is a huge difference between vocal and bass rider.
