Waves SSL 4000 Native for $466 at audiomidi.com

I just bought VCC... so I'm not sure if I want to spend 500 dollars on a few more compressors... do they color the sound so much it's worth it?

The description says "Software Serial Number License Cards and iLok License Transfer Cards are shipped via USPS Priority Mail" though.
Why in gods name would they send you the serial via Mail? Emails are so much easier and faster.
And I really don't need the C6 so I won't buy it. :D I can resist the GAS haha

Yep, that is where i got it from. I made an offer of $150 and they countered at $165. Not bad! Also, they sent me the license number via email, not USPS.
 
Any recomendings where I can pick up SSL 4000 and the CLA compressors cheapest while they also just email the ilok redeem code ?

I have already send tony a email asking for a quote.
 
its true everyone needs an 1176 im pretty happy with the softube FET compressor its awesome for slamming the crap out of Metal Vocals CLA style

Uber awesome on Vocals, even for tracking them

sounds killer on Bass, also good for tracking.

D-R-U-M-S! parallel compression with the 1176 on drums is probably what you hear on every record you own.

perfect for that SNAP on snare. it makes your drums sound agressive, as if the drummer hit harder.

Those are just a very few examples...
 
Nice deal, yep. I asked him about the prices the day before yesterday, no idea why he didn't answer (at least until now).
So I bought it for $465 :( FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

What irritates me is the "Waves - CLA Compressors- USA Customer Pricing" if you want to write him an email.
I deleted "USA customer pricing", perhaps that's the reason. Not shure if you're allowed to buy from other countries...well to be honest I don't really care as long as someone could confirm it works :lol:

I've had it on my HDD for ages, but never installed. He seems adamant that it's identical to the L1. Has anyone ever externally verified this?

$309 for the CLA Comp Pack is an utter bargain. Literally less than $100 per plug-in... it's ridiculous. I paid almost twice that and it was still more than worth it. (fuck you again Waves)

Think about an uncolored L1 version imo. Less character but still usable.
I use w1 all the time since I don't have L1...

I paid $339 in August and I was stoked then... this is just ridiculous. If you don't have the CLA plugins already, you need them. Best compressor plugins I have, by far.
