Weird vocal glitch on Nickelback's 'Photograph'

Not sure if this falls under the glitch category,as at first I thought it was intended,
it sounds really weird,
ear piercing, high freq. noise starts at 3:12

I looked up on youtube and I couldn't hear it there

I've heard what you're talking about, it sounds like the high frequency noise from a CRT television, and that's not the first album I've heard it on. It's REALLY annoying
