Well, Im new to the group Anathema....

I downloaded the one song I could find on the internet called Fragile Dreams and I loved it! It was fucking amazing. Very powerful song with excellent musicianship.

So I got 2 CDs from them. Judgement and Alternative 4. I dont think A4 was that great. Its a good CD but it wasnt full of powerful songs like Fragile Dreams. Judgement is an awesome CD though! I loved just about every song on there. It was really a great CD. Defenately my favorite CD so far.

What do you guys think as far as their best CD goes?

In that vein I'd got for Eternity. The best of the "new" Anathema imo.

Of course you could try th early doom/goth Anathema. I'd reccomend Serenades/Crestfallen from that era.

The Silent Enigma is another great album... it's the transitory album.

Go in this order to get the rest:

1. Eternity
2. A Fine Day to Exit
3. The Silent Enigma
4. Pentecost III
5. Serenades / Crestfallen

Alternative 4 is a very good album, you just have to give it some time.
