Somebody wrote "Students will die today" on the wall outside my school. And now we're on lockdown.

Funny story...my freshman year of high school someone called in a bomb threat, and the entire student body was taken outside to sit under the hot sun on the football field bleachers.

The whole time we were thinking, "Gee, if I were going to bomb the school, I would probably put the bomb.....under the fucking bleachers."

exact same thing with me in 9th grade. Except it was my Gym teacher who said that planting bombs in the bleachers would have been a good idea.

bingo. i totally agree.
PEople should bring education back to public schools, not that fun atmosphere there is in most American middle schools (i attended one). Parrents need to stop spoiling their kids and shit and take them in a trip in the poor parts of the world to teach them how to value the life and opportunities they have in life in Westrern Europe or America or Canada.
and also a solution for the social problems of the US is to make the top leaders drop a thing called imperialism....

Well, for sure. I think that may oversimplify the situation a tad, and perhaps desire the impossible, but the problems are relatively simple to sort out, In my opinion.

I think a pragmatic approach to what works in schools when it comes to sex and health education should be adopted as opposed to anything rooted in either puritanical beliefs or liberal attitudes.

The ability to think, as opposed to just monotonous regurgitating of learned material should be imparted.

It's a catch 22 because if you teach irrational and stupid people to think, they may become more effectively irrational and stupid, but It's a risk I'm willing to take.
