Well, the show went (nearly) as well as we could have hoped. It was obvious from the outset that we weren't going to be to everyone's taste, but we recieved a warm reception from the off and gave it all we had.
Our usual soundman was at the Download festival, so we shipped over Brett from France (who produced the album) to do the live mix. Despite this, he was apparently battling with the sheer volume of the onstage monitors (which were pretty damn loud, I have to say) and had little control over what was coming out of the PA besides the keys and vocals without going over the decibel limit. The drums in particular seemed to swamp everything else. So, unfortunately, it appears we sounded a bit pants despite playing well IMO.
Still, we sold a tidy amount of CDs (always a good sign) and made a few new friends. Not the 100% success we were hoping for, but we're definitely happy enough.
