Very quick and does exactly what you need it to. Make sure you change the import settings to 320Kbits. Great converter, not found one bad conversion in many years of using it.
Drag and drop the 16Bit wavs/aiffs into iTunes, then just right click the song in iTunes and choose convert to MP3. Done
Seriously, Itunes does not work. Or it does, but I don't get it. I can't import the wavs. I can't drag them in, I can't import them, and I can't add them to the library.
Maybe I just have an ancient version. I'm upgrading atm.
I've always wondered about VBR (Variable Bit Rate) - is it the best option, and are there any disadvantages? (not being able to be played back by all codecs, perhaps?)
Finally got my old copy of Xilisoft Mp3-Wav working again, so all is now well. Thanks everyone who tried to help!
For the record, I tried everything in this thread and either it wouldn't accept the files, or it would chrash during coding. And I never even got close to getting it to work in itunes.
