What do you use for Wav -> Mp3 conversion?

iTunes is perfect for this, works flawlessly, and is free. this is what every one i know uses, including Andy.

Big old +1 for iTunes!!! Works great.

Very quick and does exactly what you need it to. Make sure you change the import settings to 320Kbits. Great converter, not found one bad conversion in many years of using it.

Drag and drop the 16Bit wavs/aiffs into iTunes, then just right click the song in iTunes and choose convert to MP3. Done

Its FREE!!!

Seriously, Itunes does not work. Or it does, but I don't get it. I can't import the wavs. I can't drag them in, I can't import them, and I can't add them to the library.

Maybe I just have an ancient version. I'm upgrading atm.

Finally got my old copy of Xilisoft Mp3-Wav working again, so all is now well. Thanks everyone who tried to help!

For the record, I tried everything in this thread and either it wouldn't accept the files, or it would chrash during coding. And I never even got close to getting it to work in itunes.

Did you export something like wav64. note sure if iTunes supports that and it should just be wav anyway

you just have to go to preferences -> General -> Import Settings -> MP3 Encoder

Then you can just right click it and convert to mp3

I use something called Switch Sound File Converter.
Works perfectly, and it's free to download.
