Mostly a razor. I hate shaving so I let it go for too long and an electric just yanks the hairs out.

Ditto. I hate electric shavers. My Dad gave me one when I first started shaving that must've been made in about 1953, and it had a hole in the foil, so it would tear chunks of skin off my face if I happened to touch that area of the shaver. I quickly developed a quite rational fear of the damn things.

You guys do realize that when it's longer you're supposed to use a trimmer, right? I've talked to a number of guys who hate electric razors for 'ripping the hair off their face' when it turns out they were actually just using the close blades without trimming it first.

I'd post a picture of what I'm talking about, but all the images I googled seem to show only the front of the shaver. There's often a little flip-up trimmer on the back of electric shavers. If you use that, it cuts the hair close enough for you to use the finer blades.

No, as I explained the foil actually had a small hole in it, you could see the razorblade oscillating back and forth underneath it.

On topic: I want an electric razor. So much easier and quicker, unfortunately I'm poor, and I have a fucking massive Adam's Apple, which make shaving the hair that grows on the top quarter of my neck a pain in the ass with a cheap one, so I need one of those 300 dollar uber ones. Fuck that. I'll stick with my cheap ass 3 blade Bic razors, which are even better than Mach 3's IMO. Although nothing can touch a Fusion, but those are god damn expensive.

Also... I'm too paranoid to use one of those vibrating ones. Don't they cut really really easily? Seems like they'd be a pain in the neck (lol pun)

No they just make everything smooth. When I was in the army i used that without the gay foam/gel crap.
