What Equipment does CoB use?

Does anyone have any more details (this being the CoB discussion board... what better place to find such information)? I havn't gotten a close look.... but it seems Laihos guitar is more a Randy Rhoads shape than a King V. Anyone know which particular model its based on and the pickups he uses (maybe the great man himself could tell us hint hint ;) )

i say again, do a search or do a search at the jackson guitar forums.

hm... I'm not sure..

about Alexi's guitar:
it's a Jackson RR1 Custom, as we all know. Bolt on neck (ordinary RR1s feature neck-thru). It's got only one pickup which is a special humbucker made by Jackson (no EMG! I was shocked when I could see over his guitar at the Sinergy gig hehe).

It's an active humbucker like EMGs that additionally boosts the output. That's why Alexi's got a pretty massive sound even though he plays a Rhoads model, which originally sounds pretty thin, due to the body-design. Though the custom pickup wasn't actually made for Alexi. He bought the Guitar used. Well that's what I've heard about the pickup... Afaik there is/was a special RR-Series in Finland, a signiture model called RR-LL (of both Sinergy guitarists), a modified RR3 acutally... I guess these guitars featured a similar pickup.

At the Sinergy gig Alexi played with a Rocktron Chameleon preamp. You might know that thing. It's the predecessor of the Chameleon 2000. Power amp was a Velocity120. But it wasn't his rack, I guess. All bands played with the same equipment, except of instruments. The sound was really ok, sounded very similar to his tones on CDs.

Ale uses Performer Series, but I don't know which model...

And I say again.... discussion forums are for asking these kinds of questions. Do you realise just how hard it is to find that sort of info on the net? Fucken hard. You didnt need to repeat yourself buddy. This is by far the place most likely to have such info; the only place where hundreds of dedicated fans are sure to visit.

And as for Chaos and Locutos, thanks heaps for the info. :)
