I understand your disagreements with the poll, but upon your line of thinking, Europe can never be polled together- there are thus no underlying truths between and european countries. And this too, is a little ridiculous.
Actually, no. There is no way to lump European countries together. Think about it: Different rulers, different politics, different religions, different ethnicities, different cultures, different climates, different languages. One thing that many european countries do have in common, is how our medias portrays different happenings and events around the world, foreign politics especially, which again could explain that poll of yours.
It is true, however that many Europeans hate jews, based on the current situation in Israel. Which is something that I understand, seeing as I think that what they are doing down there is loathesome. But there are almost as many that hates the palestianians, because they think that the jews are entitled to do as they please, seeing as it was their land like four thousand years ago.
Saying that jew-hatred is deeply rooted in the European state-of-mind, however, is rediculous. WW2 was a very special case, which I don't think there ever is a chance of being repeated.
PS! I, personally, don't hate jews. I am of the belief that hating a people because of politics is wrong. I can hate
a jew, many jews, and even shitload of jews, but never ALL jews. Just thought I'd get that clear.
