What genres to sneapsters listen to aside from Metal?

Funk, Punk, Blues, Rock, Rap, Electronica.

I have periodic breaks from listening to metal where I will just listen to everything else practically.

Classical
bso´s of movies and videogames
acoustic stuff
pop rock
punk
japanese music
if it sounds good i listen it.

Woah! Didn't see that coming! Huge Kent fan here :kickass:

Recently been listening to:

The Airborne Toxic Event (pop/rock/indie)
Eels
The Gaslight Anthem
The Sounds
Kent
Depeche Mode (80's stuff mostly and Violator. Can't stand most of the 90's shit)

Classical Music
Django Reinhardt
Pink Floyd
Steely Dan
Tom Waits
Deep Purple
The Who
The Prodigy
Massive Attack
Queen
Nick Cave
Mr Bungle
Madrugada

And alot more.. Dont really like "genres".. I like individual bands.

Anything and everything, as long as it's well written. Here's a shuffle list from my iTunes...

King Crimson
Gaelic Storm
Vanessa Carlton *swoon*
The Remnants
Camp Chase Fife and Drum corps
Phantom of the Opera Movie Soundtrack (Italian Dub)
Amici Forever
The Ventures
Toby Mac
The Rogues
Duke Ellington
Led Zeppelin
Days of the New
Sarah Brightman
Nickel Creek
RHCP
Serenity Movie Soundtrack (that's some pure love right there)

All I really like besides metal is 80s pop and 70s-80s prog-rock, I detest modern pop and pop-punk, and while underground hip-hop like Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharoahs and stuff (thanks for that one Bauder :D) are pretty cool, I still wouldn't actively choose to listen to them myself (I feel too white  )

And Depeche Mode fucking rules as well

:loco:
Vanessa Carlton is awesome.

I love Michelle Branch too.....

Dude...when my friend Micah first showed me the song "San Francisco", he and I literally swooned at her voice. We both later confessed that we'd marry her on the basis of her voice alone.

Then her saw a picture of her. CONFIRMED. ;)

And on the topic of old-school hiphop (and if no one actually mentioned it yet, then they should've :D):

"Hip hop is basically the struggle to bring beverages to your mouth"
