all their albums are so different........

my fav is scream bloody gore.....its more primitive and not as musically adept as the other albums....BUT THE SONGS! they are so good, so memorable.

but for the first time buyer...... for the true essence of death, i would say leprosy.......and youre more into powermetal, then i recommend symbolic. still deathmetal, very musical.

sound of perseverance.....some people couldnt stomach the vocals on that album; painkiller was an awesome cover though.

Human is good later-on down the track, when you have stomached his later stuff.

ITP is probably the least 'harsh', but symbolic isn't as deep as ITP.

Individual Thought Patterns is the best, IMO, followed by Symbolic. Human and Sound of Perseverance are also good, but less to my taste than ITP or Symbolic.

The Sound Of Perseverance is my fav, then Human. TSOP has teh higher pitch vocal, the other, I was calling a growl, but i dont think it describes teh sound anymore.

I would get Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic. But I know you won't like the vocals man...try Control Denied as well. The side band Control Denied features Chuck on guitars but an audible singer (also features Christy of Iced Earth/Death).
