A 17 year-old girl is out late one night and fails to come home after her curfew. Her parents are worried out of their minds and their worst fears are realized when they get a call from the police saying that their daughter was in a car accident and has been rushed to the hospital. The husband goes to the hospital, telling his wife that he wants her to stay home with their other children, and that he'll call her when he finds out what happened.
A half an hour later, the terrified woman gets a call from her husband. he tells her "Honey, i have good news and bad news." the wife says she wants to hear the bad news first and her husband tells her "She'd been drinking with some friends and apparently thought she was okay to drive home, but she was swerving over the yellow line and collided with an oncoming truck. her car was totalled and there was massive damage to her entire body. she's barely recognizable."
the wife starts sobbing incontrollably but manages to ask "and what's the good news?"
her husband replies "I saved a bunch of money on college tuition!"
