Why are all the melodic death bands starting to sound like American hardcore? Don't let this happen to you Skyfire! You should have seen Soilwqork the other night....it was embarassing.... "Motherfuckers! Fucking mosh fuckers! Get the shit fucking on! FUUUUCK! FUCKING GO!"...see, embarassing,,,

personally i think soilwork takes what american hardcore bands are TRYING to do...and then mesh melodic death elements with it to make something fresh, new and good...but i understand what your saying.

Hmm I think I know what you mean.. I remember Nevermore doing that too. But when I saw Soilwork they were great and they didn't do that at all.
If they were doing that, that's a shame, cause I do think its kinda goofy when bands do that, so I'll agree with ya

but their music BLOWS, too...sure the guitar work is cool, but EVERY single song follows the EXACt same pattern and sounds EXACTLY the same...

well...I have to say that I like the music of Soilwork. I think their latest album rocks =P
But I do agree to a certain point that the songs are built after the same pattern, but as long as they compose these great melodies and tempochanges they´re up to, its fine by me 8)

Also impressed by their unic style...they have chosen a more modern approach to the metalmusic and I think its great. They´ve really managed to do that without getting too mainstream.

by the way...have anyone of you heard Killswitch engage?
what do u think of them??

I dunno what bands you listen to, but those I listen to do certainly NOT sound like the pehenomenon you described... well, at least mostly not!

Amon Amarth, Sins of Omission, Vomitory, Dismember.... there are lots of them that don't fit in your description of bands ;)
