What is the best guitar solo you have ever heard?

you mean For the Love of God?
oh yeah, and Nitro's "Freight Train" solo fucking owns

They're not really solos, more like lead parts, but the guitar work on "Dechristianize" by Vital Remains is absolutely outstanding

I change mine to Cacophony-Speed Metal Symphony.

for thouse who havent heard it you should deffinatly check it out

The solo in Battle Hymns by Manowar make me want to whip out my love length and jerk it right there and then.
Failing that, Speed Kills will definatly do it for me.

Pantera- a new level
the dimebag darrell buzz saw tone is just orgasmic on it. its what convinced me to get the MXR Dime Distortion pedal

I have to agree with Gavin: Pink Floyd - Comfortably numb, specially in a live version in which it's longer than usual. Really touching.

Other solos i love:
Testament - Return to serenity
Ozzy - Goodbye to romance
Megadeth - She-wolf
Deep Purple - Highway star
Pantera - The sleep
Metallica - Fade to black, one

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb.. Especially the PULSE version... could almost make me cry, its incredible

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Europe - The Final Countdown (dunno, just love this solo)..
Jason Becker - Serrana
Iron Maiden - Rainmaker
Ozzy - Shot In the dark
