What kind of snare does jason rullo use?

I would like to know what kind of snare jason rullo uses.

Can anyone help? I know he uses the DW edge but isnt there like 3 different kinds of that model?

yep. DW edge. i think there's only one kinda Edge. There are other DW maple snares that look similiar, but they dont have the extra brass around it. it looked like a 5" x 14" he's using a remo drumhead on it. im not sure exactly what kind it is (i use evans) but it sounds so sweet.

I don't know about the snare, but I think Jason owns Portnoy. Even if Portnoy does have that *drool* Siamese Monster kit.

its definately gonna be my next snare ... a few years down the road, but i doubt i'll find a better snare anywhere.

i just talked to my homie @ the local music store ... ur NOT gonna find the Edge snare online, cuz DW only sells that kinda stuff thru actual stores. About $950 for it.

I have seen the DW edge on ebay before thought. But it was always like 450$. Which is a great deal if your looking to buy one. So keep heads up on ebay!
