Hi I haven't been in a band for around a year now, and that was more of a hardcore band, not really metal.

In the past year I've fallen more and more in love with metal and was wondering is there any hope in my vocals to start working towards being in a metal band? what should i work on? or should I just give up on vocals and concentrate on guitar?

Shitty video just showing vocals without mic or anything.

Please ignore the handmovements haha, didn't realise i was doing them and what a dick i looked till i watched it back.

dude you could be in a metal band, course you could, just get the people together and do your thing while they do their thing, and see if it gels. and lose the shorts. by replacing them with something else, i'm not being sexually aggressive.

sounds like you could do pretty much anything metal

lol that's quite a statement, and not one i'd agree with, since this is a single clip with not a lot in it. but there's a style there that could work with several types of heavy music.

sorry it's late been away. lol fps i will definetly lose the shorts, that day id been in my room all day painting so the dress sense went haywire. thanks for the replies thats given me a bit of hope, i've got a 2 friends who are decent guitarists so will start looking for other musicians after xmas. thanks!

can't wait to hear it bro!

Not bad, but if you really want to see if your vocal style will mesh with a style of play, then by all means record vocals over some instrumentation.

Hell, find an instrumental from a band that's in a similar vein to what you want to play and lay vocals over it.
