Well I knew some hardrock of course that was played in the house when I was little but he first three metal albums I bought myself would have to be:

Metallica - ReLoad (questionable metalness ) in 1997, I still remember it was December!
Metallica - S&M (the same) got it for Christmas 1999
After Forever - Decipher in 2001 (still one of my all-time favourite albums)

EDIT: I guess I misread the thread title, I thought it was only metal. My first three rock albums (and my first albums overall), if I remember correctly:

1) The Offspring - Smash (around 1994-1995 I think, when I was 8-9 years old)
2) Radiohead - OK Computer (when it came out in 1997)
3) Either Nirvana - Nevermind, Radiohead - The Bends or The Smashing Pumpkins - Adore

The first two I'm sure, the rest is a bit of a blur.

I still have those records though they are worn from being played every single day many times. An old boyfriend took the Armoured Angel tape and shirt. They used to rehearse at the Finnish club when I was a kid.

I don't remember my first rock albums. I have always liked classic rock and stuff like that. I started out with some golden stuff though.

I think they were all Chicago albums. They were my dad's favorite band, and I just progressed from there.
