Ask for the maintenance slips and invoices. Volkswagen have been notoriously unreliable since the mid 90s. If nothing has been done on it you are in a for a lot of repairs, especially an automatic (volks automatic trans are not that good, I should know I have one.) Of course 10Ks is nothing, it is pratically new but ask if the recalls have been done (there was at least one recall on that car)
