What's the deal about mixing with headphones??

Sometimes I use cheap sony inear monitor during phasing tests. I put a 3m hearing protection headgear over it. Very handy (sneap ) to place a mic in front of a loud cab or drumkit.

Great tip, I have been having trouble with noise bleed while placing mics and this will help a lot. I can't believe I didn't think of it myself (I've it done loads while working in construction to listen to music, but never in the studio).
