What's the deal with Peccatum?

So I've heard their latest is pretty good, but mostly, this Ihsahn project generally gets shit on. Who's heard it? Verdict?

Lost in Reverie is pretty cool. Less on the BM parts, more focus on avante-garde elements. It's a pretty good release in my opinion, but the earlier stuff is more or less on a love/hate basis for everyone else. Most complaints on the previous work come from the fact that everything is done with a drum machine as well as some people think that Ihriel's vocals are rather irratating.

ehh, I like it. I'm not sure if that means that you will though. Try the opinions of a few people whose tastes you trust.

I've got 'em all and the man is right, Ihriel's voice goes from beautiful to painfully irritating on the first one in particular.

Their latest is defintely the best. A couple of moments are quite extreme.
