It's a tough call but who's it going to be? Old classic or new master?

My vote? I've thought about this for ages and have to go for:

:::drum roll:::

Carcass - Symphonies Of Sickness

A quantam leap in the evolution of death metal.

Terrorizer comes a very close second.

Carcass - Necroticism.

By far my favourite album of all time :)

Runners up would be:
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption
Decapitated - Winds of Creation (though it is Wicked World)
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul

Hmmm...
Carcass - Heartwork

Closely followed by:
Morbid Angel - Entangled in Chaos

Entombed - "Wolverine Blues"
Ephel Duath - "The Painter's Palette" ;)
Carcass - (All)
At The Gates - "Slaughter Of The Soul"

then Cult Of Luna, Dub War and Godflesh

couldnt pick a favourite album but my all time fav bands have been on Earache.......

Godflesh
Napalm Death
Carcass
Morbid Angel
Misery Loves Co
Cathedral

MORBID ANGEL - Altares of Madness ... just becuase of Maze of Torment

DECAPITATED - Nihility ... the most brilliant new band on the scene, cannot fucking wait for the new one!!!

Oh... so many...

But if I had to pick one, I'm thinking I would go with Carcass - Symphonies of Sickness. The first two Entombed albums are right there too though.

In a few years, I may very well be saying Nihility, but as much as I think that album is brilliant, I always need some time before truly putting it in the category of 'best ever'. It's on it's way though...

Bolt Thrower- Realm Of Chaos

That album rules.

Hell yeah. My fav Bolt Thrower album.

I'd probably have to go with Godflesh-Selfless as my fav Earache release. Followed closely by the rest of Godflesh's releases.

Also:
Cathedral-The Etherial Mirror/Forest Of Equilibrium
Entombed-Clandestine
Meathook Seed-Embedded

I've gone and done it again. I left out Terrorizer-World Downfall. Possibly the best Death/Grind release ever. But really, there are sooo many great Easache releases from back in the day. They were the first label I ever became a fan of.
