Those are the people I would consider "highly intelligent". For anyone I left off, I either don't know you well enough to guess, forgot about you, or you're just not smart enough to bother listing.

And just for the record, I consider myself smarter than all of the people listed, except maybe Cairath. I just figured if the list started with me everyone would have rolled their eyes.

Ha! I feel quite honored to be near the very top of that list (what this means is that I value your opinion, Grant (<3). I remember Cairath. He hasn't posted in a long time, has he? His posts always struck me as well-reasoned and articulate. I always wondered what he studied in college (assuming he was a college student, of course). You might think I'm crazy for saying this, but I would include Dakryn in that list. The reason is that I think he has raw intelligence but I feel that he is easily swayed by nutty crap, or at least he is operating from a rather different epistemic framework than the rest of us. I think he ought to go to college and discipline his mind and put his natural curiosity to a good use.

I was waiting for a response from someone intelligent enough to constructively critique my list.

You raise a good point with Dakryn, he does often demonstrate some fairly advanced critical thinking ability. Obviously the "easily swayed by nutty crap" factor was a large part of why I decided not to include him, and I have to say that I'm still not convinced that he is capable enough of overcoming this problem. He seems to succumb to it time and time again despite repeatedly having it pointed out to him.

Combine that with the fact that he's religious, as well as relatively bigoted (I'll never forget him calling Rob Halford "tone-deaf"... ), and I'd say that he's probably too narrow-minded to be considered "highly intelligent".
