I always stated no matter what, if Evergrey plays, I am there. The matter what has changed, my wife is now 13 weeks pregnant, she is due early August. I apparently would win the "worst husband/new father" award if I went to see the 'grey, so apparently you guys will have to rock with out me. But it is ok, having a baby is pretty freakin exciting! I already have this picked out:

Congratulations! Kids are the reason I haven't been at PP in the last few years, but I am the mommy. You may be able to get away for a night. :D My firstborn was a month old when my hubby had to go on a business trip. We managed for a week. Yes, you will be guilt-ridden and all that (e.g. when we saw Devin Townsend on the Addicted tour) but it can work and you'll surely need the break. It will not make you a bad father.

Worry not my friend, as Evergrey will be on tour this year. Maybe you can take a drive and catch them somewhere else!

Congratulations on the baby!!! :D

Congrats!

I went to PPUSA last year while my wife was at home on bed rest with our first. I went to Nevermore when my son was 10 days old.

I think each couple will have their own comfort level, but for us, me being gone for a few hours in the evening to see a concert was no big deal.

My daughter, Jessica is 8 years old now. Where did the time go? I'm taking her to her first real concert in April to see RUSH in Hershey, PA. I think I'm more excited to take her than she is. She loves JUDAS PRIEST and I wanted to use this RUSH show also as an experience to prepare her for a different kind of atmosphere for JP. To "warm her up" if you will. Congratulations to you and be thrilled at what lies ahead like I have.

Claus - you had a kid? Congrats man.

High Speed Kurt - Congrats to you as well.

I have three kids myself, which is why I haven't ever been to Prog Power.
Maybe (hopefully) someday I will make the trip down.
