when you are playing live

how do you manage to play the parts that have clean, rhythm and lead playing at the same time. Or do you leave a part out?

We only have two guitarists.. so we leave a part out.

ok, thanks jesse. I didn't see you guys live yet so I thought you would be using like a midi track live or something for the third part. btw I've only been into your music for a week and I'm completely taken away by it. It's fantastic!

oh one more question. What part do you guys usually leave out during those parts? the rhythm as the bass covers it or what?

It varies depending on the part. That said I think we never leave out the rhythm guitars. Typically charley plays all rhythm parts and then barre plays what he/we judge to be the most important lead/clean for a given part. It's a trade off for sure but it seems to work out fairly well.

 

[Bleak Eyes]

They are one of the tightest live bands, so everything works out pretty well for them.
