Where are good places to live in the U.S.?

@Thoth-Amon San Diego is my dream town, it's so beautiful.

update: REALLY leaning toward Austin; it's gun-friendly, metal-friendly, musician-friendly, and just seems like a cool idea.

I'm already making plans to go to the Texas State Fair in the fall to eat all the fried food!!!!! omnomnomnom fried beer
