Which Bass??

Hey guys a friend of mine has asked me for advice in buying a new bass guitar. He wants something in the 200/300 quid price range so that somewhat limits him already!

He has is eye on 3 basses at the moment which are:

ESP B Series 50 4-string Bass Guitar
Peavey Millenium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar
ESP EC54 4-string Bass Guitar Satin Black

Anybody had any experience with any of these basses and are they any good??

He plays in a rock/punk kinda band so its concert pitch all the way.

the Squier Jazz Basses should be also a good choice, if i remember correctly, a few forum mates got the squier and are pretty happy with it

Of those, I'd pick the Peavey.

Mmm... ok, Peavey and a Squier?? Cheers guys.

The last time I recorded his band the Bass he used made a kinda clank , rather than that rubbery deep booooom... that I like!!

Anyone elese familiar with any of these basses?

Peavey ....

For low to mid price only a Squire Jazz or Fender Mexican Jazz is gonna suffice.

Tell him that for more bang for his buck, he'd be best getting an Ibanez BTB bass

The ESP Ltd basses you need to spend a fair bit to get the quality...

I managed to get a spot on deal, i've updated the PUPs and such, but for that amount... i'd say Ibanez...
