You can set iTunes to rip everything in mp3. If you let your iPod turn your music collection into AAC format, than you're a fool.

I voted MP3, since it's universally easy to rip, encode, playback, etc.

WMA is gay.

iPod's proprietary format is AAC (i.e. m4a), but it can do everything with MP3s as well. Also, these formats are only worthwhile for me with regards to studio music.

For live music, I use ONLY FLAC, SHN and APE files.

I use Windows Media Player and whenever I copy one of my CDs onto the computer, it automatically puts them in WMA format(obviously), so that's what I use. I'm pleased with how they sound and I don't have an ipod, because I listen to my ACTUAL CDS, so I don't care about the convenience of mp3s etc.

Test run: I think the last time I did a yousendit, it didn't work because of the file type. Well, here's another WMA, let me know if you fuckers hear anything.

If you're using Windows Media Player, there's an option in TOOLS > OPTIONS > RIP MUSIC. Then just select mp3, if you want to try doing it in mp3.
