which interface would you buy?

i'm looking at either an RME babyface or a sound devices usbpre 2.

I have heard the usbpre in person and it sounds super crisp. I haven't heard the rme except from some clips on the internet, and it sounds good too. Obviously it's hard to compare the 2 in person, but I imagine the rme and sound devices are similar in quality. I'm leaning toward the sound devices, but the rme has a bit more IO which would be awesome in the long run. I'm not really sure I'd be tracking and drums with these, but I would be doing OD's and listening to things critically.

so what I'm asking is for opinions on the RME mainly, should i pick it over the sound devices?

I'm very pleased with mine. Good converters with great sound + the drivers are very stabile. Also, the option to hook up something via ADAT to get up to 10 channels in is good if you need that eventually.
