for me is Tonight's Decision quite the contrary.
honestly, i would recommend exactly this Katatonia record, i think it's the best way to find out whether and how deep Katatonia can touch your heart actually...

Ok, well I like it least of all katatonia-albums, and I have friends who bought that album first, and thereby didn't like katatonia, until I showed them some viva emptiness

o.k., sure, i haven't expected this would apply to every case, it's just my opinion.
blame it on the relativity then, heh.

Viva Emptiness. It is their most mature and variated album. Also the best in terms of compositions, instrumentally and vocally.
