Which last name would you rather have?

I would like a family name like Van something.....(not because of van helsing)

Just because I like this kind of last name.

They you should be Dutch. Or Flemish (=from the Northren part of Belgium, where they speak a language very closely related to Dutch, and have names with 'van' too).

Still, I find it quite interesting, almost fascinating, to learn what the meanings of different family names are.
Seeds? Of what? Carrots maybe?
