I know the USA is by FAR the best nation at snowboarding, but their skiing lacks a bit.

I don't care much about snowboarding, but I know that Daniel Franck and Terje Haakonsen are pretty much regarded as godfathers in the snowboarding scene. Terje's never competed in the Olympics, but Daniel has won a few medals.

Still, yeah, mostly skiing-related. I also forgot about ice skating (skating, not dancing), we usually get some medals there as well.
