Bump to old thread but I have a little question for saffire 56 user's...

I search on Focusrite website but I don't find this:

Can you bypass preamp on saffire 56 for use like an AD/DA converter?

you can use the line input and bypass the emulation.
i think you can also bypass emulation whenusing the mic pres!

after some month : i had serious problems with the saffire 56, had to change it 3 times till i got one that actually worked flawless...
it just did not connect to my firewireports..

no everythings fine. absolutely amazing unit!
