which Saint cd is best?

I like Raising Fear also, but it seems to have a different sound to it. John's voice is much higher than on the others, but I LOVE it!

Delirious Nomad is definitely MY favorite, can't think of a bad song on it, but if I were to recommend a "first" for someone else, I think SOS would be the most impressive to a new listener.

I just think it has the most variety on it compared to all their other CDs that I have heard by them so far.

I have Delirious Nomad, March of the Saint, and Raising Fear, and I like Raising Fear the most

1.) Symbol
2.) Delirious Nomad
3.) Revelation
4.) March of The Saint
5.) Raising Fear

All are good, though. Symbol is somethin unique I think. The production, lyrics, and quality of John's voice is way above the norm. I did not rate the EP, live album "Saints Will Conquer" or "Nod" which is a package deal.

I just got the 95 reissue of DN and RF, and have been jamming non stop to them.

Blatz for all of you fuckers..........

Symbol of Salvation is hands down my fav above any of their other albums. There's something magical about that album. The writing, performance, the guitar playing and in particular the solos are outstanding. Production was awesome. John's vocals were intense and melodic as always, but more so than anything else they had done I think. Just a great all around Armored Saint (heck, METAL) album. After that, Delirious Nomad.

While I am a huge fan and love all their albums for different reasons, I must say that this response is the most accurate, most thought-out, reasoned review, in my opinion.

Symbol seems to have that magical vibe...

I will say that I am glad to see that Delirious Nomad gets so much respect, cuz...as someone said...it's a very "odd" album to digest (years ahead of its time), but the material just kicks ass...

Rock on!

Here's my list:

1) Delerious Nomad (Every song is awesome!)
2) Raising Fear (Chemical Euphoria alone makes it worth it)
3) Saints Will Conquer (LIVE album that kicks ass!)
4) March of the Saint (Can U Deliver & Mad House, nuff said)
5) Symbol of Salvation (I always found this one to be kind of boring, but it's been a while since I listened to it)

I can't comment on the later albums as I was hesitant to buy them. I might have to get "Revelation" to see how it is.

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else think Bush was awesome with Saint, but never really fit with Anthrax? Maybe it was more Anthrax, but I never liked anything they did together.

He was great in Saint, but WCFYA is my personal favorite Anthrax CD.

It's been over 8 months since I started this thread, but I have still to check out any Armored Saint, (I'm a lazy bastard like that) thanks for the reccomendations though, I'm gonna try to scour the record bins this weekend.

So as far as John Bush being awsome with Saint, I can't really reply to that, but I really feel that he fit in great with Anthrax. I became an Anthrax fan before I even knew who John Bush was, about the time Persistence of Time came out, I heard the song Belly of the Beast and was instantly hooked, Anthrax became one of my favorite bands.

I scoured all their old stuff, loved it all but Persistence of time was still my favorite. A few years later when I first heard Only on Head Bangers BAll I did not know what to think at first.

I picked up the album and and after listening to Potters Field Hy Pro Glo and the rest of that disc Anthrax wasn't just one of my favorite bands anymore.... they became my favorite band.

I'm still a fan of the Joey era stuff, and have even come around on my thoughts about the reunion since it was announced, but I will never say that to me the music produced by Anthrax didn't sound much better with John Bush providing vocals.

If it wasn't for stupid record companies Anthrax should be the big name of the 80's "big 4" and not Metallica, because everything they put out since POT has been far better then anything put out by 'Tallica, Slayer and Megadeth in the last 15 years.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I like Anthrax with Bush alot, but:
I'll take the worst Armored Saint over the best Anthrax any day of the week.
