Dude Roald Dahl was awesome! Especially My Uncle Oswald and some of his short stories.
Anyway, I got a chance to meet most of the musicians they played here. From Anthrax it was Charlie, Scott, John, Paul Crook and Rob.
Yeah he was. Remember reading some of his books when I was a kid, liked the BFG.

Anyways, back to subject
Met John, Scott, Rob, Charlie and Frank
Drew Bledsoe and Peter Sirmon
Zach Randolph, Sebastian Telfair, Darius Miles, Theo Ratliff, and...hmmmm...dunno else from the Blazers.

I was really privileged to know Roald Dahl. For those who have no recollection he was the author of the great little book written in the 60s under the title of "Charlie and Chocolate Factory". And I guess not everyone knows that during WWII Dahl was one of the most fearless british fighter pilots. He passed away about 10 years ago, but I still friends with one his daughter, Tessa. The whole family is incredibly talented - Roald's wife and Tessa's mother Patricia Neal is the Oscar winner (I got my chance to hold that Oscar and say "Thank You" Jim Carey-style a couple of times).
I guess almost everybody who lives in New York or LA one way or another bumps into some kind of celebrity now and then...

Cool! :)

Thanx. And as somerhing for our scandinavian friends to be proud - Roald Dahl was a Norvegian. After his death The Ambassador of the King of Norway opened a monument to Dahl's honor in a little town in Wales where all the family used to live. Yeah, and besides, the granddaughter is worth to die for as well... Sophia Dahl, try Google.
By the way, forgot about sport legends... At the time when I used to live back in the old country (Kiev, Ukraine) I was a huge soccer fan. So in 1990 I had a chance to hang out with 4(!) biggest soccer stars at the same time( I might spell their names out wrong but nevertheless...) - the one and only Franz Beckenbauer, Portugese God Eisebio, Diego Armando... you know who, and Alan Simmonsen of Denmark. They were in my town at that time to honour Oleg Blokhin's retirement. A friend of mine was hired to drive a boat with all the meshpukhah after the game Dynamo (Kiev) vs. Star Team. I swear I had my shots of vodka with all the named above gentlemen plus the hookers. Good times, good times...

i met several bands, i still couldnt remember all, but there are some persons that are missing on my wish list
AC/DC
Guns N Roses
Phil A (I met the rest of Pantera but never him)
Iron Maiden

Outside the music i met some people in the plane
Tina Turner
Ralph Moeller
Axl Schulz (the german guy who nearly knocked out foremen in Vegas)
some sport & movie stars on gigs & festivals

I knew he must be some guy from the "bizz"

I used to work in retail (aka "a music store") years ago (like 91-95)...but now I work for a pharmaceutical company. In between there, I worked for one of the biggest computer resellers in the world. That's where I got my hookup with Anthrax (Charlie loves his Mac!). I've also worked for a few clubs and radio stations doing security at events. I have made lots of friends in the music world over the last 15 years. So, while I have met a number of bands from my jobs, most of it was done on my own or by knowing someone who works for a band.

I do the laminate thing as a hobby. I don't do it to make money, I do it because I enjoy it. I often spend hours designing passes with unique designs that are something more than a CD cover with the words "ALL ACCESS" added at the bottom. It is incredibly cool when your effort is rewarded with somthing like this:

That being said, I am sure Buddy Love Bomb is wondering where his lams are...don't fret...they are on the way.

I've met shitloads of people in music, movies, and politics. The most famous person I've met is Bill Clinton. I once told Don Rumsfeld to "refuse to be denied". He problably thought I was crazy.

Oh yeah..I met your mom for drinks last night..j/k fuck you

You lucky dog. Is he really as huge up close and personal as he looks on TV?

Yea, he's really beefed up. At the time of seeing him, it was only 2-3 years into wrestling -- around 1993 He may be more buff now

Charlie, Scott, Frank, Rob, Joey B. and Dan(and Izzy). Jeff Henneman and Kerry King. Billy K. and the other guitarist from Mastodon. Yngwie and band from the "Eclipse" cd (1990), Everyone in Warrant (1990). Nuclear Valdez. The Necros, Damien and Jeff and Tom Kollman. Gene Simmons waved for my sign I was holding (KISS Fuckin' RULES) and proceded to parade it across the stage while everyone went nuts (and then was balancing it on his chin and shit). Carlos Cavazo's brother from the band Hurricane. Some male porno star (got to love The Rainbow Bar & Grill). Ron Perlman (Hellboy). A shitload of race car drivers from back in the day like Darrell Waltrip, Gary Bettenhausen, etc. and the Miami Sound Machine and Gloria's husband but alas no Gloria.
