A few to mention. I can't decide on one.
Dark Tranquillity- Fiction. Such a solid release. In my opinion they seem to have packed their whole career into one album, yet still made it sound fresh.
LORD- Ascendance. Another solid album. Lots of singalong songs building on the style Dungeon had me hooked on, while also moving forward - slightly.
Eyefear- A world full of grey. A huge step forward from their last album, which was good, but felt abit tedious in parts. Lots of great songs.
Dark Tranquillity- Fiction. Such a solid release. In my opinion they seem to have packed their whole career into one album, yet still made it sound fresh.

Carnal Forge - Testify For My Victims. Easily the best melodeath album I've heard in a damned long time. Great writing and structure, and I absolutely love the new singer.
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal. These guys really stepped it up, yet again, and the production is insane!
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diabolis. My favorite DB release to date... incredibly album.

Arch Enemy - Rise of the Tyrant (I listened to all their previous album uncountable times, this one probally 10-11 times..but I just can't get the hang of it..)
Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos (They should stop with trying to be metal/evil posers and just continue further on what they left on octavarium)

Fuck I think they were at their peak with "Awake" and "Metropolis 2." I really haven't enjoyed their last few records although I have bought all of them. Their whole obsession with "Master of Puppets" needs to fucking end. I never liked Metallica in the first place...
