Most of you are over your twenties, and you seem to have the luxury of time. Time to listen to countless bands, time to post here, time to go to shows and festivals... you also seem to spend quite much money on this pricey hobby.
So, where do you get the time and money? where do you work? what are your career plans?

well, following Frank's example, I might as well go for some self-debasement also:

I'm 21, I rent an apartment, I don't work, I go to university, I squander government grants and my summer earnings, I don't go to festivals or even listen to a lot of metal, but I stay at home and read Greek poetry instead.

ahah

21 years old, renting an appartment, studying at University. I don't go to shows at all, because I don't think I fit with the crowd that much. I do go out with friends a lot, and I still spend a lot of money on albums. That money is coming from my summer earnings, and soon enough, my credit marge. I seriously don't know how someone can buy airplanes ticket to go across the ocean to watch one festival, but I'm happy for them if they can do it. I don't have the money nor the time... actually, I don't remember the last time I had real vacations???

I'm 30, work alot, make lots of money but spend it all on adult shit like a house, two cars, a wife and a son. I barely listen to music because I have a baby in the house. Thusly I rarely buy any new music because I wouldnt be able to listen to it except on my mp3 player and that is a rarity. For example, Im quietly listening to Rush's Test for Echo right now, an album I bought ELEVEN years ago.
I come here because the people are pretty cool and quite amusing. I have no interest in anything else on the internet.

I'm 20, live in the campus apartments, work as a tutor for chemistry, and I pay my schooling with loans, so my job gives me about 180s every two weeks which goes to food, booze, and metal. That's really all.

I'm 20 and live with (read: leech off of) my parents while going to college. I make $200 a month, $150 of which usually goes to music, the rest going to gas.

22 years old, live with my dad and am in school as a Mortuary Science major. after that, i'm moving to california to pursue my dream as a sell-out rockstar. i have a girlfriend and i enjoy socializing muchly. don't spend a ton on metal. i have my favorites and pretty much stick to that (although I do get into some new stuff here and there like that recent Nasheim track was the bomb diggity). i didn't go to the last big metal fest which was about 30 minutes from my house. make about $800 per month and that pays for bills and trips and such (Toronto is next).

yeah.

I'm 21, have a nice job, make about $2700 BEFORE taxes starting next month (got a raise this week and out taxes are about twentyseven times american taxes), got the best girlfriend one could have and a nice apartment, a crappy car I'm planning to annihilate this summer in exchange for a new one this summer, a bit drunk after playing tv games (zelda twilight princess) with a bandmate all evening +beer drinking, gonna sleep ina very short bit, never read the topicc or anything but I did catch a few ansewrs so this might not have anything to do with anything but anyhow my life is goog.d I live for heavy emtal

AND THATS JUT WHAT I DO

I work to afford to live and then I fucken live, would like more free time though

31 years old, I am a teacher, thus making a reasonable amount of money, though not quite what I deserve and I suffer from sleep deprivation. Don't really buy much music anymore, but I try to catch a few shows a year.

I had a teacher in history classes that gave me for a few weeks Operation Mindcrime, that guy was pretty cool.

hehe, and my ******** history teacher is an ancient dean of the faculty, is retired, 61 years old, and plays Battlefield 1942 online :kickass:
