Hahaha, what a night. Didn't see this thread.
How much money did we throw into that jukebox?
It was funny -- the night started around my place, we had pot roast and beer, sat outside and listened to Destroyer 666, "Stormblast", and Vreid.
Then we went to the bar at around 10pm and we hijacked the jukebox, but we were still sober enough to realize that you can't START the night with Obituary...haha....you have to warm the crowd up.
So we started with W.A.S.P, early Queensryche, early Def Leppard....then came the Maiden, Megadeth, and Metallica....leading up to In Flames, some Death....more Maiden (in particular, "Flash of the Blade" and "Moonchild")....
No shit, we must have played 3 hours worth of metal NON-STOP...and the bar guys were loving it. They were actually turning the volume UP for us between songs. At one point, we'd go take a piss, come back and be astounded at just how LOUD THE METAL was.
Great night. Both Mark and Greg stayed the night (so no drunk driving). [By the way, Mark, did you get a ticket? The neighbor said they thought they saw a ticket on your car for having parked the wrong way on the street. I didn't even know that was illegal].
That pub in Suffern, "The Olde Town Inn", is now officially a metal pub.
