For those of you who have Mayhem's DeathCrush, who is the kid named Scott Burns that has the "no" symbol across his face in the booklet.

It's Scott Burns of Morrisound.. He was quite the trendy producer back then, and of course Mayhem were against that.

Mayhem should have kept their mouths shut. Them, along with Death, are the most overrated bands in metal.

Scott Burns is one of the worst producers metal ever had. He might have done a lot, but it's also his fault that early Sepultura, Deicide, Testament, Cannibal Corpse, Malevolent Creation and many many more all sounded thin, flat and lifeless.

I agree. He's also quite overrated. I'm tired of hearing how "it's a fucking Scott Burns release" or whatnot.

If anyone asks me, the best metal producer ever has been Colin Richardson.

As well as Carcass and Machine Head. He's known for his crushingly clear production style.

I thought Tomb of the Mutilated and The Bleeding sounded pretty good.

Heh, I couldn't imagine anyone on here saying Barnes had a good vocal performence.

I think the sound on Suffocation's "Pierced From Within" is phenomenal, and Scott Burns produced that. I guess he's hit or miss.
